Rene I. Lewis, 64, of East Hartford and formerly of Windsor, beloved wife for 42 years of Ronald T. Lewis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford on October 11, 1953, daughter of Eleanore B. Campbell of East Hartford and the late Jill Ina, Jr., she was raised in Hartford and had lived in Windsor for over 30 years before moving to East Hartford two years ago. Besides her husband and her mother, she leaves two children, Dominique M. Lewis and Ian O. Lewis, Sr. all of East Hartford; five grandsons, Elijah M. Lewis, Ian O. Lewis, Jr., Jakari Roberts, Tre'von Roberts, and Jaylen Lewis; a brother, Adrian L. Campbell and his wife Michelle of Bloomfield; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; two special friends, Deborah McCoy and Donna Dlugolenski; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 10-11 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 11 a.m., at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor.
