Donald Earl Jenkins, 71 of New Britain, CT passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born on August 14, 1952 in Hartford, CT to the late Robert Earl and Josephine Jenkins.

Donnie was a graduate of Weaver High School in 1971. He received his Associates Degree from Manchester Community College in 1974 and his BS Degree in Business from Central Connecticut State University in 1977. He also attended classes at the Hartford Graduate Center.

Donnie retired in 2020 from the State of Connecticut DOT where he was employed as a Senior Systems Analyst.

Everyone knew that he loved loud music (jazz and R&B). He loved traveling, spending time with family and friends and washing his car .... of course, whether you wanted to hear it or not he'd let you know about his Dallas Cowboys (win or lose)

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha; two daughters, Janelle Jenkins of New Britain and Nicole Holland (Benson) of Hyattsville, MD, two grandchildren, Dylan Isabella Holland and Benson Holland III, one brother, Ronald Jenkins Sr. of Hartford, and a nephew, Ronald Jenkins Jr. (Trish) of Stone Mountain, GA; two fraternal aunts, Mrs. Mattie Braswell of Creedmore, NC and Mrs. Deborah Fothergill (Brian) of Bloomfield, CT as well as a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Donnie's life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 4-6pm at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
