Excitement is building as we approach our 55th Class Reunion (July 17–19, 2026). Our time together will be an exciting few days of remembering, reflecting, and reveling. This newsletter highlights a special event on Reunion Saturday, the “Green & White Stoned Soul Picnic,” to be held at noon at Black Eye Sally’s. We will come together not only to reconnect and reminisce but also to give back by supporting a 2026 Weaver graduate and celebrating the achievements that shaped our class legacy.
The “Green & White Stoned Soul Picnic" will be a special event. The attire for our indoor picnic is Picnic Casual. As we honor our Green and White tradition, start now to look for something green and/or white to wear to our special event. We will feast on Black Eyed Sally's delicious B.B.Q with all the fixings. A cash bar will be open and pouring.
Class of 1971 Legacy Award to be presented
Our Saturday gathering will include the awarding of the Class of 1971 Legacy Award. The Legacy Award is a small grant to be awarded by our class to a 2026 Weaver High School Graduate pursuing post-secondary education or training. It is great for us to celebrate, and it will be even greater as we pause to help a new Weaver High Almnus.
We hope you will join us. Perhaps you know of a current graduating Weaver High School Senior? Please feel free to share this opportunity with them. The award has an electronic application (Weaver Class of 1971 Legacy Award application form). Applications will be accepted March 15 - May 15, 2026. Information and applications are also available at www.weaver71.com, our class reunion website and registration page -
A Look Back at Weaver Pride
1967 - 1971 were the years we were together at 25 Ridgefield Street. Our Saturday gathering will include some opportunities to remember those days. Come and let us remember the 1971 Class LL Connecticut Boys’ Basketball Championship, and our many activities and school traditions. Do you have a special memory that you would like to share? Please be in touch with the reunion Committee 1971weaverbeavers@gmail.com.
Let's. begin to remember. Who can you identify from the 1970–1971 Weaver High Varsity Baseball Team? Send your answers to 1971weaverbeavers@gmail.com. Who are these brothers?
